Pune is gearing up for the 11th edition of the Pune International Literary Festival (PILF), set to unravel its literary extravaganza on December 16 and 17 at the esteemed Yashwantrao Chavan Academy Of Development Administration (YASHADA) on Baner Road. With an impressive lineup, this year’s PILF promises an immersive experience, featuring over 80+ speakers participating in more than 70 sessions over the two days.
The festival’s main auditorium will be the hub of literary activities, hosting engaging panel discussions, book launches, and readings, creating an intellectual feast for literature enthusiasts. The ‘Book-Nook’ on the lawn offers a distinct space for literary exploration, while ‘The Treasure Island’ caters specifically to children and young adults, featuring workshops on storytelling, drama, spirituality, Vedas, meditation, and mythology.
Diversity takes center stage in the adult sessions, spanning various domains such as economics, political thinking, law enforcement, Bollywood, justice, spirituality, culture, animal and human rights. Renowned figures, including scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister Sanjeev Sanyal, Marathi author Vishwas Patil, and biographer Yatindra Mishra, will grace the event, ensuring a weekend filled with literature, learning, and entertainment.
The festival will feature two poetry sessions from Baithak and Beyond, Bullock Cart Poetry, and The Poetry Cosmos, providing a poetic touch to the literary celebration. The Lineup will be curated by Saad Ahmed, Chandrakant Redican, Ankita Singh and Kamlesh Biswas
